Bali over the weekend? Not impossible anymore.

Sometimes, you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend your weekend somewhere to recharge and free your mind. You'll have a lot of options to leave the busy city of Manila and commune with nature just for a night or two. Batangas is home to a few resorts that can provide you a tranquil atmosphere and easily accessible whether you choose to commute or drive your own car.

We did a combination; we rode a bus going to Lipa City and an office friend invited her cousin to join us and has a car to tour us around. I believe commuting is not as hard and you may want to check their website for directions.

It's along the high way so the entrance can easily get noticed. Though the Bali-inspired design can only be discovered from the inside. They're very strict with security from the main gate and will take you 5 minutes for the security to record your vehicle and get a valid ID from you before you are permitted to get inside.

They only have 18 villas and they are scattered around in this sanctuary, thus, I understand why security should be strict as the resort is huge enough to be closely monitored. Upon arriving, their reception is outdoor and you'll be greeted with a welcome drink to imbibe the Balinese-vibe of the place.

We were then escorted to our Terrace Villa which accommodates 6 persons and with an extra charge starting on the 5th adult. The room is very spacious and it also has a patio and from the name of the villa itself, a terrace at the front. It has 2 queen sized beds, a mini fridge, and a large bathroom.

I love the intricate design of their bathroom mirrors and it's really huge unlike your usual hotel bathrooms. The place also has a restaurant, bar, playground, 2 pavilions for various events, and 4 swimming pools of different sizes. Expect slow internet connection as they are only available in public areas and for only 30 minutes per guest. Take this precious moments to update your fans and followers in IG and FB. lol

The rate is inclusive of buffet breakfast. Their restaurant also serve lunch and dinner and you can have it served in the comfort of your terrace. Buffet lunch is only available every Saturday and Sunday.

SO, who's with me in Bali? I mean, in Cintai? The past and present IGC Training and Quality Team. (FromL-R) Berna who's from Batangas and invited her cousin Mika who drove for us. Marga, me and Larry.

AS this place provides exclusivity and takes you away from the hectic way of life in the city, it also goes with a hefty price. Their Terrace Villa is priced at P11,550  for 4 persons only. Good thing, Mika is very much willing to give us her 40% discount coupon which she also got from her friend. Better wait for the off season and you'll get as much discount for an overnight stay.

We took the time to examine every corner of the place and capture every thing that's Instagram worthy. There are other visitors though who aren't that courteous enough and would just stand behind you and  get themselves photographed. They could have looked for another place instead or wait once we're done.

The intricate carvings of their walls and entrances are really snap-worthy. I think we spent most of our time outside more than staying in our spacious room. I totally agree that having no TV inside the room doesn't bother us at all. Except for the wifi. lol

There's also an option to go on day tour inclusive of lunch and snacks. I guess it's only favorable if you are traveling alone or you really have little time to squeeze it in your schedule.

Though it's summer when we went there, my outfit is just too fitting for the season. It's cold in there especially in the morning and at night.

One of the 4 swimming pools in the resort. The other 2 I guess are kiddie pools.

And finally, who does it better?!

THE DOOR...

We also took the opportunity to check Nayomi Resort owned by the Prats family. They are known for their villas and Glamping (Glamour Camping). They only have 13 villas if I remember it correctly and some glamping tents which can accommodate from 2-8 persons. Since we only are inquiring, the manager greeted us with a smile and introduced us right away to their famous dessert which is Halo-halo.

Nayomi Resort and Sanctuary

We will definitely come back and next time, it's an overnight glamping stay in Nayomi.
