When you travel, there are things that are out of your control...be better have a Plan B.
SandBox in Alviera Porac, Pampanga
It was a spur of the moment when we decided one weekend to do trekking at Mt Pinatubo. No thorough research done, we only knew that we have to prepare the payment for a 4x4 ride and the tour guide.
Before leaving Tarlac; heart-broken
We already reached the entrance at Capas Junction when we were stopped by the military. Yes, it's not open for that weekend due to the Balikakatan Exercise. As an advise, make sure to check the website of Mayon Tourism for schedules. Since we're already pumped up for an adventure, my mind tried to filter the next closest thing we can do for us to release the adrenaline that's trying to shoot up.
Outdoor playground
Suddenly, this place came into my mind. Since everyone wanted an adventure and outdoor activities, Sandbox in Porac, Pampanga saves the wanderlust spirit in us. Every ride is a battle between your heart and mind. It's up to you which one you want to use to overpower the other.
What to bring with you:
- Sunblock
- Long sleeves/rashgaurd/pants to protect you from direct sunlight
- cash, P650 for an all-in rides
- extra clothes after the activity
- rubber shoes
Climbing Wall with Louise of www.jendialouise.wordpress.com
We choose to get a package which we can try almost all of the rides. For ATV and archery, there's a separate charge to that. The package is worth P650 inluding the entrance. You may want to personalize and choose only the rides you want to experience for a lesser price. I suggest though that you get the all-in package because you might suddenly change your mind and try them all.
Wall rapelling from the 4th floor
We choose to try the easier stuff first to build our confidence and throw away the cowardness in us. What i like about it is that you don't do all of them simultaneously. You may do 2 activities at a time but need to queue in line for the next ride. It gives you enough time to compose yourself again for the next ride.
Rollercoaster zipline
The rollercoaster zipline is one of the most anticipated rides. You ride it like a zipline but it mazes like a rollercoaster. It's bumpy and suddenly drops you and makes a turn when you least expect it. I wish though they can extend it and raised it even higher for a more thrilling experience.
Make sure to bring sunblock with you and clothes that may protect you from the scorching heat of the sun. There are instances though that it will rain and activities will be stopped; unfortunately, it's no longer refundble. Make sure you'll try this on a summer or when raining is least to happen.
Free fall from the 4th floor
The free fall is where i had the hardest time to decide whether I'll do it or not. Seeing that a lot, especially men had backed out, i suddenly turned chicken-hearted. I need to pull this off and had to jump. I'm trying to convince myself that in Physics, all things fall at a speed of 9.8m/s.
The 9.8m/s vertical decceleration
I was not able to shout on top of my lungs and just moaned like a cow in a slaughter house. Yes, it's the wierdest and funniest shout I've ever done. At least, i made it but in an embarrassing way possible. lol
The giant swing is also a ride to reckon with for this trip. I'll update this blog entry soon once i have the photos/videos for the giant swing experience.
The only Buddha Pose I had for this activity.
